  • Chapter 12 Fear

The entire world of Bethumet, every city and town, put up a bounty for a black haired, wing, coat, and pants demon with red eyes and a dead kinda look named "Fear", who was branded as a thief as it tries to obtain the Six Orbs of Bethumet. Originally, the bounty was 80,000 gold, which is a great sum in these times, but it just got raised to 200,000 gold, which would last a lifetime, because Trite and Camp Green Lake, which is part of Trite, were the latest victims of "Fear's" treachery just a few days ago. The creature first destroyed half of the city of Trite, then walked towards Camp Green Lake, a camp more known for housing supposedly juvenile kids and getting them to dig in humid conditions with rarely a drink of water or a break. That day it was known for the creature stepping foot in the area as it simply passed the scared but ridiculously tired kids, went to a certain part of the area, stuck its right claw into the ground, then lifted the ground up and beheld a green shining orb. It immediately picked it up as it tossed the ground it lifted somewhere across Bethumet, then left the scene. The Warden of Camp Green Lake attempted to stop it, but one good look at its face forced her to run away so fast, the kids couldn't believe it. But after that, clans started up, trying to get that bounty by getting Fear. Unfortunately, there were only two options: either waiting at least a good few areas away from the mountain Fear's housed in or waiting at an orb's location and hoping it shows up there. For one person though, he did luck out. Unfortunately.......

    Chapter 12X Sayrun

Sayrun was a 37 year old master mercenary who was feared as someone you don't want to face straight up- you'd have a better chance surprising him then challenging him because with his solid swordsmanship, he'd cut you up in ten seconds flat. Unfortunately despite his great talent, he wasn't really a great mercenary or even acknowledged as one because for starters he didn't have any other solid to great fighters working beside him, limiting where he could take jobs, which by the way, were few and far between, especially for one mercenary such as Sayrun, and then because of this he rarely had any money to hire another mercenary as he used his money to support his wife and young son, Sigrin. He seemed destined for some thing else that would actually generate more money, until one day he found out where he'd be set for a life time. One day after another training session, he walked back to his small little house with some food to cook, but while he was walking, he glanced at a WANTED sign: Capture or Kill Fear....demon.....orbs.....200,000.....200,000?!? Was the reaction Sayrun had as he realized that he had a golden opportunity, one that involved risk, but also a huge reward, and automatically knew that he had to do this, or else he'd regret it for the rest of his life. So after a few days, and after kissing his wife and hugging his son, he left towards Aurol, one of the places that houses an Orb, more specifically this one is the Yellow Orb of Bethumet. He was banking on the fact that eventually Fear would show up trying to get the orb, and he'd be waiting just to get him. Unfortunately, it didn't seem likely as activity from the demon didn't surface for weeks, and while Sayrun knew Fear was probably still alive, he was running out of ways to conserve his money, and eventually had to sleep outside of Aurol. Even though he had his temptations, he knew he had to continue to wait for him, at least two months, so he continued to wait patiently for him. A few days later, he decided to go through some rigorous training to stay sharp and rested a while before heading towards Aurol to heal his body at a hot spot. While he headed toward the village, he saw a strange figure move at fairly quick speed towards his direction. At first he could not make out who is was, until he immediately thought,

"FEAR!!!!" Black wings, hair, the works. It was definitely him. After that, he drank some sort of potion, and immediately felt fully refreshed, then got in a fighting stance. "Its time to earn some money...." Then he charged at inhuman like speed at the creature, and seemingly slashed Fear as blood hit the ground. Sayrun thought he hit him, until he looked at his sword, coated in blood, and noticed that the blood came from his left and right hands. He slowly looked up....and in a few seconds arms, legs, head, and ears were on the ground, along with a bloody pool right in front of the mess of Sayrun....
