  • Chapter 6 Fayre

The kid with yellow/brownish hair, bright red armor at his chest and his legs, already seemed to know his expected fate.

"Groan....this is going to end badly...I can feel it...Damn...stupid negative thoughts!!! Grr..........NOOOOO.....sigh I failed again....man I hate math..."

"Dude, what'd you expect? This math test was extremely hard. No one was going to pass it!"

"Wait, did you hear what I-" The soldiers nodded with a smirk on his face." .....Damn I hate talking out loud like that...." A few minutes later, the kid then looked over his other test scores that were given out, and while he didn't talk out loud, he said silently, "English: A+, History: A+, Combat Skills: A+, Math: D-......"

“Beating yourself over failing math again, Fayre?" Yelled a black haired soldier with the same set of armor the kid, Fayre, has on.

"No Adrian, I am not beating myself for the 20003022something time over failing math!!!" Secretly he was beating himself up because he stormed towards the water fountain to get a drink of water. But that's Fayre for you: just trying to do better at everything. As an 11 year old kid, Fayre wasn't exactly in a rich household: In fact his parents spent most of their time with multiple jobs to do, so they never had anytime with him. But because of that, Fayre felt like it was an obligation to do something that would please his parents, or get them to actually remember that he was there. He did something radical: he enlisted to join the Syrian Knights. It was a dream to him to actually work there, but he never thought he would do it, but with them asking for soldiers to join, he might as well give it a shot. His parents didn't seem to care as they felt it would be one less thing to worry about as they tried to raise enough money to live. Anyways, he passed the joining test and for three years he was under the tutelage of one of Syria's Four Wings, Commander Thomas, a feared knight who's been in countless battles over his time and worked his way up to glory. After those three years Fayre had the respect of those around him as an hard working young man who possessed talents beyond what any capable kid his age could do, was a smart young man who knew every thing there is to know, and had a combat skill that was strange, but diverse: he could use any weapon in battle, but he could also learn magic, something that only mages were supposed to do. He was a jack of all trades basically. Anyways, now that he's passed all the tests, his big opportunity has come: the war against Kenion is about to begin, and he was going to join it. He hopes that he gets to learn how war works when its real, not from, "Some silly book, " and hopes he can find some one to train under, now that Syrian Knight training is over. "But I have to survive this war to accomplish the goal."

    Chapter 6X Sorentine

"Sir! We have received word from Thgil: they will support our endeavors in this war!"

"...Good...." was the only thing I could say in this situation to one of my messengers. Sigh...I can't believe this but I'm going to be fighting against a friend I knew from childhood. Did I do something to cause this rift? No, but I know one thing: Only my friend knows why this is happening, but in order to find that out, I must see him at all costs....
